| Iron Body 8 inch 175 lb rising stem gate valve, approved for sprinkler system and fire protection service, are brushed throughout to assure reliable operation at all times. Bodies and bonnets are of high strength alloy iron and have heavy wall sections with reinforcing at all points of strain. The renewable bronze yoke bushing, engaging the stem threads, provides a non-corrosive stem contact. All operating threads on the stem are outside the bonnet, permitting easy cleaning and lubrication. Seat rings are bronze and are screwed into the body at an angle complementary to the taper of the wedge. Valves may be repacked under presure when wide open. Flanaged valves have seven blind bosses (two each on the sides and three on the bottom) that can be tapped for drains as required.
