Black-Mold-Remedation.com, an informational portal for homeowners with mold problems, announces plans to devise a program geared to educate the consumer on their rights to sue. A Cincinnati women sues her home builder for $75 million because of dangerous mold growth in her home. A Texas family wins $32 million settlement because of black mold. Hilton Hotels spends $55 million to fix mold problems in the Hilton Hawaiian Village’s Kalia Tower. And the lawsuits are just starting to heat up. The big wave hasn’t even hit yet. So why would a small internet-based company want to help homeowners jump on the lawsuit bandwagon? “These examples are certainly not the norm – they are the exception. For every big lawsuit like this, you have thousands upon thousands of homeowners and renters who are suffering without anyone to help them.”, said Damion Rutherford, creator of the website. “The builders and realtors know, or at least should, about the problems. They have legions of high-paid lawyers and hidden print in contracts to protect them. The homeowner has nothing”, added Damion. Filed under: From Our Inbox Comments: None |
