Are Women Taking Over Internet Business?

As recently as 1997, 75% of the people on the web were male. Today, 51.8% of internet users are women. Women are creating internet businesses as an alternative to the glass ceiling and changing the tone of how web sites work.

Women are winning the internet battle of the sexes. In fact, some men with internet businesses take on a female name or persona on their web sites to make them more appealing to women.

Internet business has become the new frontier for smart women who want to get out of the corporate rat race and have freedom and flexibility.

According to Lorrie Morgan- Ferrero in a recent interview on www.WebSororityTalkRadio.com, she started Red Hot Copy, her successful copy writing business because she wanted to stay home with her children. Jenn Wright, a professor in mid-life, left her university job, moved to New Zealand, and started a web based business taking women on adventure tours.
