Salt Lake City - Dura-Tuff Wear Products introduces its new metallurgical formula for its grouser bar, which improves through-hardening and long lasting durability in the most abrasive and high-impact applications.
Through-hardening for prolonged durability
Grouser bars rebuild the traction cleats on crawler dozer track shoes when they have worn down. By working closely with a bonded, independent metallurgical testing labratory, Dura-Tuff successfully incorporated a new proprietary metallurgical formula (NTR tm technology) into its Super Extreme Service Grouser Bar. The new formula produces a harder grouser bar, thus allowing equipment to stay in service longer.
Independent tests demonstrate the difference
Independent tests of the Dura-Tuff Super Extreme Service Grouser Bar demonstrate a consistent hardness of Rc 50-53 throughout the bar. Field tests in extremely abrasive environments demonstrate that Dura-Tuff's Super Extreme Service Grouser bar lasts up to 6,000 hours before needing to be replaced; approximately 1,000 hours longer than comparable competitive products.
"The development of the NTRtm Technology in our core product line," remarked Greg Peterson, Chairman of Dura-Tuff, "is the result of our ongoing commitment to innovation and product improvement."
